Thanks for coming out to eat, drink, and be merry with us last Thursday at the Fluno Center – and we’re glad they were able to accommodate us after the scheduling snafu back on January 30th. We had over a dozen members in attendance over the course of the night. We’re planning for our spring events now, so watch this website – and your email – for more details to come. We’ve got a speaker in mind for the Spring Luncheon coming up in May that we think will be quite interesting!

Have you heard about ASPRO before? (link) It’s the organization that funds a lobbyist at the State Capitol to help progress legislation that will benefit us as Academic Staff, and also keeps a finger on the pulse of the government and sends periodic emails to members about upcoming legislation and policy that might be worth writing your local representatives about. Dues are quite reasonable, at .25% of your monthly salary – so, if you made the average Academic Staff Salary of $67,000 annually, dues would only be $7 per pay period.
Lastly – our Secretary of the Academic Staff (former MASN President Mallory Musolf!) has announced this year’s Academic Staff Institute on March 18. Attendance at ASI includes a MASN membership for the rest of the academic year, til September 2025. So members, be sure to tell your colleagues!
