Kicking the Winter Blues with MASN

We had a lot of fun at the end of January at the MASN Winter Social, for the first time ever hosted at The Vintage, just across the street from Fluno. While it did get a little packed with the general public after work, a couple dozen of us came for drinks and snacks and had a great time chatting!

And earlier this week, MASN members got the opportunity to tour the College of Agriculture’s D.C. Smith Greenhouse. We had so much fun last year touring the College of Letters and Science’s Botany Greenhouse in early summer that we wanted to keep the momentum going – and it turns out that early February is the perfect time to visit before things get too warm! We learned a lot, and attendees even got to create a cute little sealed ecosystem “terrarium” of the department’s plants to take home. There’s even more greenhouses on campus, too – perhaps we’ll try to make a habit of seeing even more of them!

Next up – on March 5th at noon, MASN will be invited to tour the Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Center on campus. Members, watch your inboxes for the RSVP form for that tour!
