The Madison Academic Staff Network will be welcoming Kacie Lucchini Butcher, Director of the Center for Campus History, as our speaker next month for our annual Spring Lunch at the Memorial Union – May 23, from 11:30 to 1.

As one of our annual meetings, there will also be business – the nomination of candidates for President Elect and Secretary to the board. (Duties and details here) Please consider nominating yourself for one of the positions – monthly workload is three hours or less, and the board is what keeps MASN afloat and planning activities for the membership.
Last week we had our first tour of the Carillon Tower in front of the Social Sciences building in almost a decade – well attended at 17 guests, but we managed to fit everyone safely in the tower! We heard a miniature concert from Lyle Anderson and learned a bit about the history of the almost 90 year old tower and its bells.
