We had a great turnout for Dr. Wichowsky’s Spring Luncheon lecture a couple weeks ago, and trying out El Pastor as a new catering option was a great choice. Coming up next will be elections for the next MASN Board – we will need both a President-Elect, and a Secretary, for next year. Here’s our bylaws listing the tasks for each role. We estimate that the total monthly time commitment is about 2 hours. Please contact us if you have any questions about nominating yourself for these board seats.
A week later, a small group of us was able to go inside the front doors of the Primate Research Center and see their adorable marmoset family. Security restrictions for the health and wellbeing of the primates prevented us from seeing any more of the center but we were able to learn a lot from the staff who came down to meet with us.

What other activities does MASN have planned for this summer now that the academic year is over? So far, we’ll be taking a First Nationals Cultural Landscape Tour (June 24), and we’re also planning a tour of Camp Randall as well for a TBD date! We’ve already sent out the invitation emails to all members about the former.
Thank you for being a MASN member. We always appreciate your feedback on the org, and love to hear suggestions for other events, activities, and tours that would be a good fit for us!
