Summer in full swing with MASN

We’ve already had several great events this summer! Last week, MASN members got a new perspective on campus when we took the First Nations Cultural Landscape Tour. Starting off in Memorial Union, up Bascom Hill, and finishing behind Observatory Drive where two Mounds are located, overlooking Lake Mendota, it was an eye-opening, but also sobering way to take another look at well-known places on campus.

Just today, MASN finally took a long-requested but first time visit to Camp Randall Stadium to get a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most famous parts of campus.

We’re hoping to still have an Ice Cream tour in August – date yet to be determined for that. The next “on the books” tour scheduled is of the UWPD’s Lake Tour, talking about rescue and safety! That will be offered twice, on September 8th and 10th from 9am to 10:30am, due to limited capacity on the boats. Want to join us? Make sure you’re an active member of MASN and you’ll get our invitation emails to all our events.
