Please Join us Wednesday, Nov 18th for a tour of Washburn Observatory:
The Washburn Observatory was the first ever observatory at UW-Madison and when it was completed in 1881 it was the third largest in the United States. It is a fascinating historic building that is now one of the oldest observatories in the country.
We are being hosted for a private tour by Arthur Eigenbrot of the UW-Madison Astronomy Department. The dome is not entirely enclosed so please dress appropriately.
Day and Time: November 18th, 4:30-5:30
Location: Washburn Observatory, 1401 Observatory Drive We are meeting outside of the observatory entrance, which is on the opposite side of the building from Observatory Drive.
This event is free and is a great way to introduce others to MASA. Please bring a friend so they can see what we are all about!
Thank you!
